Okay so I watch my nieghbors dog when they go away they just got an alarm. Well my neighbor gave me the code and said if you forget the alarm is on and open the door or put the code in wrong the cops will come just tell them to talk to me and I'll tell them why you're there and everything will be fine. Now I'm worried because what if it does go off by accident? What would the cops do, would they be okay with calling my neighbor? What if anything would happen to me?
They will break windows, push them out of the way with a truck, whatever it takes to hook up to the hydrant. In the good'ole USA we can sue for anything, and poeple do. The owner would only be able to get compensation if they could PROVE it was done with malice and not out of necessity.
Absolutely correct. If there's anything in the way of firefighters getting to a water source during an emergency, they are empowered to remove the obstruction in any manner they see fit. The liklihood that a car's owner would win any damages from the fire department is zero. Maybe less than zero.
They could bust the window, push the car out of the way with the fire truck, etc. and it would be legal. Yes, the owner of the car can sue the CITY, if it was a city fire department or county if it was a county fire department. Would they win, NO because if the owner would not have parked their vehicle their in the firt place, it would not have happened.
Sorry to say this but yes, it's very true. The car would be in the fire crew's way and since fires are a MAJOR issue they can and will do anything to perform their job and save lives. Hate to say it but park infront of a fire hydrant not only will you be cleaning out your pocket for fines, you will also be spending extra cash on fixing your carthat isIF it wasn't destroyed. Oh and you won't be able to sue either since the person who parked infront of the fire hydrant was the one in the wrong. Sorry
My guess is that when they are not working, they like to watch Rescue Me to see what Dennis Leary is up to this time.
