I know this sounds stupid but I don't know how to put my heating on. My gas ran out so I topped it up and now I don't know how to make the heating and hot water come on. My partner always does this but he's just started working again so. Now I'm left with it and I don't know what to do. I'm going to my mums wedding in the afternoon and me and my son need baths. Aggghhh help please. My partner won't be home for hours.
on some boilers there is a row of 3 buttons. ignition,on,off. to relight it u would need to hold 'on' and press 'ignition' to get spark. if it lights u need to hold 'on' for about 10 secs to allow the thermocoupler to heat up. this in turn keeps teh gas on automatically ( otherwise u would have to stand there all day and hold the 'on' button ) or it could be something else
