i got one for xmas and i tried everything to try to get it to work i plug it in to my laptop and then nothing happens so can you explain how to do it thnx

The only thing I can think of would be your device is USB 2.0 and your laptop is USB 1.1. The device you plug in cant be a higher version of USB than your laptop has installed.
