I just bought a new 2014 honda accord sport and It has remote locks and also has a panic alarm. So that being said, if my car has a car alarm, how do I activate it and deactivate it if it has one. And please don't say reach in and try to unlock it, I'm not asking how to set it off.

position doesnt matter as long as they talk back to the security panel just fine and are close enough for the magnet to work correctly. i usually try to put them closer to the panel or keypad and wherever it looks ok because if you get too far it wont register correctly. that said though there usually is a tamper button that will trip if its a wireless sensor. if you do need to move it then let the alarm company know because they will see the tamper alert pop up.
