I used to have my TV outputting volume from my xbox360, but I installed speakers with a woofer. I hooked the red and white audio cables straight to the speakers. My remote still controls my TV's audio. How can I set it up to increase/decrease the audio coming out of the red and white component cables so that I dont have to get up and turn the volume up and down manually?
You'll need to hook all the cables up to the TV. (including audio) Then run a red and white cable from your TV's 'audio out' to the speakers or stereo. (This is of course considering your TV has audio out ports) The media remote will only control the TV volume. Setting it through the audio out will allow you to control the volume through all speakers.
