Question:

how can i convince my parents to let me get a spyder 3?

I really want one, my parents are generally pretty chilled with lasers but the most powerful i have at the moment is a 50mw green laser. I would settle for any of the spyder 3 series, the weakest is 300mw while they sell lasers as powerful as 1w (1000mw). To be honest, I think most of the struggle will be convincing my parents to let me get something so expensive, as they know I am sensible, so the whole dangerous thing shouldn't be too much of a problem. And for anyone who wants to say why do you need it? I don't really, its just that lasers are muy hobby i have saved up about ?400 for it, because im not sure which one i will be allowed. Anyone who says its too dangerous i have already said that i am responsible and as i know quite a bit about lasers i know all the safety bits know that i need to wear the safety glasses that come with the laser. Thanks for any help in advance, guys!

Answer:

Yes. North American Clay Courts (Har-Tru or Rubico) are made out of crushed stone. It is mixed (and topped of with) a calcium mixture to bind it and keep the dust down. The US is too humid for the clay courts of Europe. . . . Bud
Sand is a good weight item. (You can get loose sand at a cement mixing plant.) And I recommend just putting it in the bed of your pickup loose. That way, if you do have an accident, it doesn't become a flying object that could go through windows, or the back of your head (like bricks, concrete blocks, metal, - even ice). About 300 to 500 pounds (depending on the weight capacity of your pickup) should be placed (centered from side to side) just in front of where the rear axle line is - and don't worry if it spreads out a little from natural settling and shaking. As for tires, Bridgestone makes a tire called Blizzak that is softer rubber and has a gritty substance built in. They work very well, but because of the soft rubber, they should only be used in winter weather - they wear out fast on hot pavement. And you don't want to wear them out too fast, because they are a little more expensive. You should also get all 4 as a set for best results.
