Question:

How can I safely setup a PC for public access?

I need to setup a PC in a business center of a hotel. I want to find an easy way to configure the system so that each customer who logs in can easily access the internet but when they logout the system automatically deletes all temporary files and cookies. I also want to prevent anyone from making changes to the drivers or settings in the computer. Is there an easy way to do this in XP or is there a software I can use? Thanks in advance

Answer:

Dog toys, collars, or leashes or maybe different dog body parts like ears, noses and eyes!
There are three ways of protecting against lightning on an electric gate. One is by installing a lightning choke. This makes the charge traverse a series of parallel loops–a process that generates powerful magnetic fields which in turn interfere's with passage of the big charge and reduces it before it can reach the circuit boards. The other way is to set up a divert-er that allows a big charge to open an electrical pathway that by-passes the circuit boards and reaches the ground through a grounding system especially installed for the purpose of lightning diversion. The last and easiest way is to install a Lightning Arrestor. It fits on most outlet boxes/panels with a 1/2 knockout and wires to the line side of your equipment. Personally, I would not install ground rods. That is not the safest method to protect against lightning strikes. You want something to dissipate the current, not relocate it.
