How can i transfer pictuers from my v3 to my pc by data cable?

i wana coopy some pictuers from my Motorola V3 red mobile to my pc and i have the cable but i dont now hou to it

You also need Motorola software CD to transfer file from the phone via a USB cable. *Please correct me if I'm wrong, thanks!
