I'm about to get married and i'm moving into my fiancee's house. He's given me free reign to redecorate the 2 br, which i'm grateful for because it looks exactly like two single guys with no style have lived there for years.I don't want to waste the money hiring a decorator, are there any good websites to check out to get good styling tips?
You will get great ideas from checking out DIY shops, some of them will have display units aswell ie: tile style in Dublin, Collect some of the paint brochures from dulux, crown etc.., and product brochures aswell ie: bedroom designs from B and Q and you will find you will start to get ideas. You could wallpaper a feature wall in one of the rooms, they do designer wallpaper in the DIY shops that can look great. Also if you google bedroom design images you might get some other ideas aswell. You could also do a mood board before you start so get your material and colour samples together to make sure its the wy you want to look and that they compliment each other. Best of luck with it all
korder is good, also. Shop thrift stores and flea markets to get neat, unusual things cheaper than buying new stuff that anybody can have.
I don't know about any websites that'll help you decorate,but I do have one small piece of advice.Even though it's sweet of your fiancee to give you free reign,take his preferences into account too.Make it unisex, so that he won't end up in a pink and purple house.What i'm trying to say is don't make it so girly that he won't be able to stand living there.
