i feel like mine make things worse when its raining. Really, they just leave streaks of pushed around water. Is it time for some new ones? I‘m not really sure how long they‘ve been on because i‘ve only been driving it for 2 months. Thanks for any advice[
You need to change your wipers when they don't clean the windshield.Remember to clean the windshield, so the new wipers have a chance to work properly, and every time you wash your car, wipe the edge of the wiper blade. It's not when you use the wipers that wears them out, it's when they sit for months with dirt building up on them, then they stick to the windshield. Changing them is fairly simple.
If the wipers are making any type of noise or causing streaks or in any way effecting your view while driving in the rain replace them. Get decent ones too, they will last longer. Put them in yourself because they are very easy to do with common sense. They even come with directions!
No matter what anyone says, the best time to change your wipers is when you feel like it. Generally companies will say that changing your windshield wipers every three months or so is a good rule of thumb. This can be different from person to person however depending on where you a lot of factors like live, how much you use your wipers, and what quality of wipers you buy. Having a clear windshield and being able to see the road in front of you clearly is very important. Having good windshield wipers could be the difference between causing and avoiding an accident.
