Question:

How do I program my comcast remote to control my cable?

I used to have comcast on demand and had the comcast universal remote (red ok button) then i had my cable downgraded and they gave me the Comcast Digital Adapter Remote (DTA). and a new tiny comcast box. I set the universal remote to control the tv but how do i set it to control the cable box as well? I read the manual and it says nothing about how to set it for another cable box.

Answer:

You can't. The little DTA box is unique and its commands cannot be taught to most universal remotes. You will have to program the DTA box's remote to control your TV instead. That should work for most common TV brands.
you're greater valuable off programming the cable distant to your television. maximum cable remotes are programmable. television remotes are hardly programmable. in case you insist on programming the television distant, seek for suggestion from its consumer instruction manual. it could have programming classes and a code checklist, no remember if that's programmable.
