how do you cook a steak on the grill then cook it in the oven?

i was watching a show and they cooked the steak on the grill just to get the look of the grill cook, then they put it in the oven for the rest of the timeso how do i cook it like that like how long on the grill and what tempfor the oven.


they take a big block of aluminum and they flaten it with pressure rollers and as its flatend they roll it up watch how its made on discovery cannel if you have it
unroll it directly to another roll from the original, start it straight and it should stay straight,,,go slow
How to cook steak with a stovetop / oven Things You'll Need: 1 lbsteak (rib eye) sea salt minced garlic frying pan baking sheet aluminum foil tongs meat thermometer When buying a steak select a nice sized rib-eye steakRib-eyes are a tender, flavorful cut of meatSelect a piece that is about 1 pound, and around one to one and a half inchs thickStep 2Take your steak and sprinkle a light coat of sea salt on itRub the sea salt into the meatApply the sea salt to both sides of the steakaround 1 teaspoon should cover both sides of a 1 pound steakStep 3Put 1 tsp of minced garlic on your steak and rub the garlic into both sidesStep 4Pre-heat your oven to 450 degreesStep 5Heat your frying pan on high heatWhen the pan is hot (not still warming up), place the steak directly into the middle of the panLeave the steak in the pan for 2 minutesFlip the steak and leave for another 2 minutesStep 6After searing the steak on both sides, remove the steak from the frying pan and turn off the stovePlace your steak onto a sheet of aluminum foil wrapped over a baking sheet (this will prevent your sheet from getting dirty)Step 7Place your baking sheet (with the steak) into the oven for 7 minutesFlip the steak and put back into the oven for another 7 minutesStep 8After cooking the steak in the oven, remove the baking sheet from the oven and use the meat thermometer to check the temperature of the steakYou want your meat to be between 129 - 135 degrees FIf the temperature is too low, place your steak back into the oven until the temperature is goodStep 9After removing your steak from the oven, place into a covered pot for 10 minutes before serving; allowing your steak to restTemperature may continue to rise a few degrees after removing from the ovenStep 10After resting serve your steakEnjoy!
