The Dutch have been building barge housing for a long time, and they do rise with rising waterWe observed a barge house that had risen with spring flood and then when the flood subsided some earth had filled in under one end so the barge was way up on one end and down the otherThey were using a fire hose to wash out the earth to get it down levelBut as they got it down they discovered that the hull had been damaged and needed to be welded.
