where would you need to look to find iron to smelt. copper and gold are to my understanding usually stumbled up on in a mostly pure form but iron/steel is fused with rock so how did people ever discover it at such an early age in this world? what would be the tell tell sings that your near iron.
Take it to Midas. Get rid of all the emissions control junk, catalytic converter, and muffler altogether, and have them weld in a stainless steel straight-through pipe to each of the engine exhaust ports. It will sound just like a harley.

First answer is right on but, to answer your question. There are regions of the earth where there is a LOT of iron ore. It is actually quite fortunate for humans that iron is so plentiful on earth because the metallurgy of iron makes it so very useful. As far as finding iron ore. red rocks is a good sign because, in most cases, iron oxide is red (rust is red). You can probably find world maps that show areas of iron ore deposits, probably on the web. You could also inquire at the Geology Department at your local university or your state might have a state geologist who would know such things.
so you want a 4 cylinder to sound like it has power? I recomend you dont do anything to your car at all if you want it to sound meaty. If you try this will be a failed attempt!
