Question:

How do you think I could make a Roman coin out of clay?

Should I trace it or.well.I don't really know but yeahI need some creative advice.

Answer:

The poly foam will do a super job of insulating air sealing, BUT if you need to access pipes, wires, etcit will be a bearMy recommendation, both for cost and future access reasons would be to cover the bottom of the floor joists with an air barrier product, usually aluminum covered plastic bubble wrap, it's easy to work with, and can be cut away if necessary for access; be sure to replace it, also tape all seams seal all edgesThe key thing to do is keep the air from moving through the fiberglassI'm assuming the fiberglass is in good condition.
I used it in a cabin overhead on a boat once and the heat from the sun beating on the cabin roof, caused it to shrink
You are definitely going the right direction with spray in insulationIt seals all leaks and makes the floor both water and air tight so you won't have drafts going into the walls via the pipes and wiresSpray in insulation cost more than any other type of insulation, but has almost twice the insulation factor of any other insulation and pays for itself within a couple of years in energy cost savingsBatts do not provide the insulation factor of spray in insulation, and they are difficult to installOnce installed, they have a tendency to come loose and fall down on the ground after a few yearsBeside raining insulation on anyone having to work under the floor.
Get a small wooden plaque at Michael's or any thin rigid plywood or masonite and a modest amount of plasticine clay (or other clay, but plasticine is what I use) Roll a ball and mash it on the disk and start using a sharpened stick or regular clay tools and push the clay around getting the edges nice and the details closer and closer to a picture of the coinWhen you have it all done, you could coat it with latex molding compound and use that to make plaster coins I guess if you did it in polyclay, you could work on aluminum foil and bake it hard.
