cut it then use infusium23 to help keep it healthy. also, dont wash it everyday. and if you are like me and it gets greasy if you dont wash it everyday. then everyother day just use conditioner.
cut the split ends, use midnight expressions pantene pro v shampoo and conditioner. it's only for dark hair it says but that's not true, it doesn't deposit color. keep the conditioner in for 3 minutes in the shower. it does WONDERS for your hair. also, garnier smoothing milk after makes it nice without weighing it down.
Use lots of condtioner, especially on the ends. Do use too many heated products, like a dryer or straighteners, unless you need to, and if you must use these, use a heat protection spray. Try a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner also :) And consider having the ends chopped, to get rid of the broken hair, and let it grow again :)
Is the existing pipe PVC? From what you describe, it sounds like it's copper with a thinner wall than the PVC. If's that's the case, Take your no hub back and explain what you have at the plumbing store. They'll hook you up with the correct Fernco coupling. If it's possible, cut a small piece of the existing pipe and bring it with you.
