I would imagine that there is a music store somewhere in your area as well, they should be able to order the part. I think that part costs around $1 USC.
If you ride the right bike for prevailing local conditions, there is no need to slow down. Just about everything I ride has 11 inches or more suspension travel. I ignore speed bumps, or use them as an opportunity to get by cars and slow Harleys.
