I have played only Metal Gear Solid:3 ..... can anyone tell me all of the names of Metal Gear Solid Series?
I think to base on facts ALternative music is the more famous than heavy metal only a few like heavy metal to base it to the whole world . Alternative music basically raised many super acts.... Oasis, Coldplay, Muse, etc..... Alternative music is so varied that people seem to listen to it more.... Adn If you like to contest heavy metal had its days in the 80s i think? such as metallica and iron maiden... but i guess theyre fame fades about now..... ALthough disturbed's a crooss between both alternative and heavy (i like them ) Ive got to say.. bottomline...ALternatives the thing to do right now rather than heavy metal......Look at how coldplay is doing right now. thats how you base it
Wow to the guy who said heavy metal is just slipknot screaming. You're pretty close minded. Slipknot is a pathetic excuse for real metal and shouldn't even be considered metal. My preference is heavy metal- more talent especially within the death metal sub-genre.
Heavy metal definetly. But some alternative is okay. Q101 is the greatest radio station ever :P
And what about mainstream heavy metal? Or non-mainstream rock? Why would you compare those two? If you're going to base it on the mainstream for one genre, do the same for both. People who hate bands just because they're mainstream are exactly the same as the people who only listen to what's popular.
I prefer to like underground metal to Mainstream rock and I good Reason why for example: In my home town in october The band Random hand are comming to play the ticket about ?6(in dollars about $11) cheap as chips, they wont sell out, becasue not many people are there Ill be able to meet them after the show and there merchandise isnt that expensive. However In december Slipknot, A very Mainstream band, are comming to play in my home town. The Tickets are ?30(about $50 something dollars) however I think they have sold out and are going very expensive on OKorder, I wont be able to meet them cause of the people and their merchandise will be very expensive. I do like a band for it's music but I just don't like underground bands to get that famous if you get my point. And alot of rock is Mainstream.
