so i need to make a 15' x15' area thats 4quot; thick. how many 80 pund bags of quickrete cement do i need to make this foundation?
You would need 2.8 yards of concrete, look on the bag it will tell you how many square feet it will cover, or just tell them at Home Depot or where ever your picking up your bags at they should be able to tell you.
Too many! That size slab is way too big for the quickrete bags.
At 1:2:4 ratio it will require 128 bags.
Call the redimix company. You are going to need almost three cubic yards and if you are going to mix a bag or two of quickrete at a time you are going to have so many cold joints your slab will look like a patchwork quilt. And be about as strong.
you mean Concrete... cement is only a component (cement, sand, aggregate) of concrete. there is a formula on the bag of concrete... plug in your dimensions to see how many bags you will need... always add 10% to the number.
