Question:

How much do motorcycle tires cost?

Specifically a back tire, for an old Honda CM200. Not looking for anything special, but the tire I had was so bald it eventually became flat. Luckily this happened at the peak of Fall and now it‘s nearing Summer and I‘d like to take off the back wheel and fix this thing up to sell for a bigger bike. What kind of prices am I looking at?

Answer:

185 is the widest point in millimeters 65 is the aspect ratio (sidewall height in % of width) R Radial 14 is the wheel size (in inches) so a 185-70R14 is about 1/4 taller than a 185-65R14
no it wont 185 is tire width 65R is Radius and 14 is the tire wall side i think so the 70 wnt fit on 65 it wnt seal on the rim properly
Yes the tire will fit. The new tire will be taller bout 1/2 inch taller than the original. That difference will not effect the cars performance at all.
Go to Honda dealer and buy a good tire, $90-150, have them mount it.
If you have a Scooter store near you, see if they will mount and balance the tire for you, and how much it will be. If you take the wheel off and bring it to them, it will probably be quite cheap. I was quoted $735.00 from the local Harley dealer for 2 tires, mounted and balanced. I ordered the tires on-line, took the wheels off myself using the factory manual, and the local scooter store mounted and balanced them for $22 each. The front was about $120.00 total with mounting and balancing, and the rear was about $170. I found the guys at the local scooter store were quite knowledgable and very sharp dudes. They don't care what size tire they put on, and you are welcome to bring your own tire in for them to put on.
