Basically, you need to mix fat or oils with lye. Make sure to take safety precautions, including gloves and goggles, because lye is caustic and can severly injure you. You simply prepare a lye solution at an elevated temperature, then let it cool before mixing with the oils. Stir it until it thickens, which can happen quite suddenly. You can add fragrant oils at this point. Then pour it into a mold and let it harden at least overnight. The soap should cure for several weeks for maximum quality. You would probably do well to actually locate a book about soap making before attempting this based only on these rough instructions.
Access has it's own visual basic built in it is called VBA. I dont have MS Access on my machine, but I imagine it woudl be something like View-Toolbars-Visual Basic
