i want to get a new exhaust system, a decntly sounding one , including headers and the piping, and a new paintjob or blue glossy paint. How much would the paintjob be and how much would it cost to register the color wth my documents? also how much is the exhaust going to be, (ballpark a figure please) and the work for it?
back in 66 they did not have unleaded but they still sell lead substitute for the gas. if you change the heads and change the timing you can run unleaded. i changed the heads on a 74 ford truck once so i could run unleaded.
exhaust system is going to cost about 600-700 (depend on company), go with HKS. Headers is going to be 300-400. Do not paint it, save the money and buy more performance parts or rims.
non lead is just as good/octane booster is better/dont need it all the time and lead out doesn't matter/move to england they still have leaded gas/that 66 has cat convt and lead fouls it
