I recently acquired a cable box along with the remote controller. I have cable and I have another legitimate cable box that was installed by the cable company. The one that the cable company installed looks to be identical to the one that I recently acquired in another way. The problem is that when I plug in the newest cable box I get no picture on the TV but I do get a msg that says ONE MOMENT PLSE THIS CHANNEL WILL BE AVAILABLE SHORTLY. What should I do to get this box to work with the functioning cable that I have on a separate TV?
Cable boxes have to be authorized by your cable company. When you buy one from OKorder or wherever, they are stolen and will not work.
