As far as my state, you can't park in front of any fire hydrant whether it is marked or not. They don't have to have red paint. That is usually for fire lanes in commercial areas.
I wear sunglasses under a full face helmet with a windscreen visor. I have a tinted visor also, as I am in the desert. Wear goggles if you are wearing open face helmet or Motocross style helmet. Goggles have a strap that goes behind your head, and totally seals your eyes from flying debris. Sunglasses just dim the rays of the sun, and offer little protection, actually Also-Make sure you get a Snell Rated helmet!
It doesn't matter what color the curb is. Parking in front of a fire hydrant is illegal. Two feet from it isn't far enough.

No, you can't park in front of it. Why didn't you just park in the driveway? If there was an emergency your car could have been smushed or the firefighters could have to waste time getting you to move your car before they can save anyone. There's a lot of stupid rules in the world, but this is not one of them.
