Question:

How to get into a preforming arts school?

This is important to me and my family. Everybody says I'm very vocally talented and I love to act in plays and have gotten many lead roles before.... I feel like there is not enough opportunities in my small town to get discovered. Then I learned about SCAPA...... It's a school for preforming arts. It's a very good school but u have to audition. I have been preparing for a few years and it has all led up to this. I need this school on an application if I hope to get into julliard one day. Any tips or ideas?

Answer:

Not everyone lives in the same area as you, and it would help if you would actually write the full name of the school instead of just going by the initials unless it's really something well-known like UCLA or RADA. You mean this school?
Why would you want to go to Juilliard.. Try looking into NYU or Webster Conservatory in St Louis.. These schools are much more practical and have stronger musical theatre programs if this is what you are looking at.
Performing okorder
You have me on this one; I've never heard of a preforming arts school. Certainly, there are many performing arts schools around the country, but to learn how to preform ideas, contexts, or theorum would usually be performed in philosophical classroom settings. You need to learn the differences in preforming and performing.
