Question:

How to grow a lime tree?

I need fresh lime leaves for some recipes, and I can't buy them around here, so I thought I'd try to grow my own.I'm all prepared. I bought a lime. Now I'm lost. I'm bad with plants. What kind of soil should I get? Should I leave it outside or indoors? I can't plant it, because I live in an apartment building, but I have a porch I could put it on. I live in South Carolina, and it's already in the 70's here pretty much every day.So, what kind of soil? How much water? Indoors or on the porch? Lots of sun or not much sun? Can I just start a tree from a single seed, or is it trickier than that? Like I said, I don't know anything about plants or trees. Thanks for any suggestions.

Answer:

Too much of anything is bad...I was watching the Tyra Show last night and a girl drank lots of orange juice. The specialist on there said that the acid in the citrus harms your teeth and stomach and can give you heart burn which of course bothers your esophagus. I love lemons myself so if I were you I wouldn't eat too much of it :-)
use a straw to drink the lemon lime water to avoid contact with your teeth? i am currently cleansing my body for a week drinking lemon and lime water. i feel cleansed already but am going to use straws to drink it. i wont carry on this citrus fruit excess, but i will take a lime water once per day after my cleanse has come to an end. :)
Too much Vitamin C can be harmful. It can take the enamel off your teeth. Lead to Acid Reflux. It can cause canker sores and cold sores. I wouldn't eat them every single day. Use moderation. Maybe cut back to 2-3 times per week! I don't know how you do it.. the lemon makes my face look like this.. :-x
I have been drinking fresh lemon juice in warm water every morning plus a bowl of fresh fruit including pineapples. However, I have just noticed enamel has come off the top of two of my teeth and I am horrified. Do I give up on all these lovely fresh fruits?
