They are no good for class A fires, which are ordinary combustible material fires like wood or paper fires. Where are you getting this? Car tires wear down at an extremely slow rate. Sure, if the tire literally gets burned, I'm sure they exude more carbon vapor than a tank of gas, but they're not getting burned, they're wearing down, at a rather slow rate. You either don't understand anything about carbon emissions, or you're trying to be dense. Beyond that, there are several reasons to increase our emissions standards, and one of the main ones is that it's easy. We've already got the technologies, we just have to put them into use. All we need is innovators willing to make it a reality, and since car companies have been rather unwilling, it's about time we forced them, if for no other reason than that they'll go out of business if they don't due to lack of sales because people wont buy cars that cost them so much to gas up.
