you do no longer the linkage has no adjustment and the gearbox is sealed and non serviceable. You the two have a tendency or broken linkage or a foul wiper motor (the kit container is area of the motor).
Remove blades and arms turn wiper motor on then turn it off replace arms with blades attached in the proper place job done.
There is no timing in windshield wipers it will either be a problem with the switch itself or the location of the wiper assembly when its bolted on.
