Doug is spot on, yet lacking one factor that im going to function in authentic rapid. The wiring harness makes issues simper via fact this is coloration coordinated with the aftermarket twine radios. some chrystler/ward off/jeep contain an latest amplifier that should be bypassed with a view to have sound come throughout the audio gadget. fortunate this bypass is easy as connecting a twine. (rapid notice, purchase purely metra set up kits- wiring harness and sprint kit) on the wiring harness there will be a blue twine (to no longer get at a loss for words with the blue twine from the radio) coming off of it. This needs to be attached with the crimson wires, or the blue twine from the radio's wiring harness that's the amp distant twine. This bypasses the amp.
The best thing to do is to buy a wiring harness adapter, rather than stripping the existing harness. The adapter kit should cost less than $20, and you can wire it to the new stereo and just plug it in to the car harness.
