i need a recipe for a SNACKit needs to be low in fat and high in fiberit is for a school project and it needs to be something i can keep in my locker from 7am-2pm and make 13 small servings ofthank you so muchI will pick best answer for the recipe i use :]
Make sure you have nothing on the counter that smells, foods, fruitIt may sound mean but if you have too cover the counter with a large sheet of slick wrapping paperWhen the cat jumps up there he will lose his footing and slip back on to the floorFrom that short of a distance he will not get hurt They also make a spray can now that you place in an area and it's triggered by motionIt just sprays air and scares the catsTry looking at Pet Smart in the training section where they have the wireless fences etcThe other thing is place sticky paper like contact paper, when he jumps up and gets it stuck to his feet he may decide that is not funIt is a bad habit and hard to break if you are not on top of itGood luck
There are a couple of things you can do to stop this businessFirst, since he likes water so much, leave the bathroom faucet barely running on a teeny stream or dripTake him to it several times so that he will know it is always there for his enjoymentNow, for the counter-the first thing to try is to place several unbreakable items (plastic containers, glasses, small pans, etc.) right at the edge of the counter (especially at night before you go to bed)If a cat can see that there is something in their way of safely jumping up on something, they won't do itIf he continues to jump up there, knocking down these various items, then there's Plan B-place a couple strips of 2-inch 2-sided tape around the entire kitchen counters and leave it there for about a weekAs soon as his feet hit this sticky stuff, he'll jump down, and most likely won't make a return tripCats HATE anything sticky on their pawsThis should solve your kitchen counter problem and also provide the kitty with the water he's drinking and playing inGood luck with this.
Some cats just prefer running water to water left in a bowlIt may be worth mentioning this to the vet when you are there as in my experience a water obsession can often be due to renal problems and is very common in catsMy cat only likes running water from the bath and has had blood tests and is fine so i don't want to worry you uneccessarilyAs for the counter maybe a little tap on the nose with a loud shout every time he jumps up.
You are doing a great job taking care of himKudos to you! :-) I understand you have a counter problemWell, you can either put tinfoil (not flat, just let it kina bubble up so it'll make noise if jumped on or tapped by, say, Remington) The cat will hate the soundWax paper should also do the trick and will make the cat slip and not want to jump up anymoreYou can try tapping him on the nose with 1 or 2 fingers (on the end of the nose, they hate that) every timeThe problem is that cats are very smart, and so they will only then get up when you are not thereThe same downside will occur if you use the coins in a coffee can, or clashing things togetherThe movement sensor air-shooting thing could work, but I understand that compressed air (which would be the only thing that would work) can give someone frostbite, or cause damage to the eyes or earsI recommend the tinfoil or the wax paper, because they have the fewest downsidesSticky paper or tape also works, but then you have to deal with the cat possibly getting glue inside him (highly unlikely, but possible) and then you have to get it off him before he eats it (some cats have an attraction to glue and the coating on pictures, especially the glossy kind.) So I would try the foil and was paper first, then the sticky stuff then the air then the tap on the nosethen the coffee can or metal clashingStop when something works, obviously :-)
