I have a memory card reader, trying to pull some pics off and it just says removeable disk, insert disk. The memory card is in the reader, and I don't know how to pull the pics off. Please help!
If your memory card reader is connected correctly, when you click on My Computer at the very bottom you should se a Removeable Drive Just double click it and there your photos will be :)
Your memory card reader will show up as another drive. Click on this removable drive and now you will see your photos. Drag photos into your designated folder on your hard drive (Usually C Drive) as you would with any other files or folders
When I installed my reader my comp automatically created 4 more drives, F, G, H and I. .Drive I is for my memory card out of my camera. All I do is put the card in the reader, click on (my computer) then click (drive I) then (poof) my pics appear.
check if the memory card is properly fitting in the reader slot. you can use the removable disk as its like a floppy drive. just insert into the slot and follow the below said procedure. then browse to my computerremovable diskrespective folder where u stored the picscopy/ cut the pics from the foldercopy/paste to the desired location. thats it. you have your pic's
If you are using windows XP, then it will automatically recognize the card reader and the card. However if you are using prior version, then you may have to install the card reader drivers. Otherwise if you click on my computers icon you should see the icon of your card reader, which you can access just like another hard disk.
