I cut my cable cable going to my box i put it back together using two ends and a connector any tips on what I should do to get my cable box working its from cogeco and i keep getting the message one moment please but its been hours
you screwed up while putting the connectors on.,, you need to remove them if you can and see what you screwed up.
could be the wrong type of connector,the shielding and conductor must be seperated.

The connector is a male on one end and a female on the other. You have to make sure the wire which should be exposed 5/16 slips into the female hole and then tighten. Your other option is to replace the entire cable wire with a new one. Make sure your box doesn't have a reset button. If so, reset the unit.
