Question:

I Didnt see the road hump and went over it to fast? DO I NEED AN ALIGNMENT ITS A NEW CAR 2 weeks old!?

Now I think I need an alignment the car is 2 weeks old 08 gti. It could just be my head tripping me out, when Im in straight roads the car doesnt really do anything funny, but eventually after awhile the car will either turn left or right, but its after awhile, the steering wheel doesnt vibrate at high speeds, can anyone tell me if I need an alignment or is it maybe im being paranoid

Answer:

I think you are being paranoid. My motto is the faster you go over those humps, the less you feel them. Several years of doing this and my suspension is shot now. Roads are usually built curved so that rain will run off of them, so alignments are usually set a little to the left. It should not really be noticable though I think, to make yourself feel better, you should go back to the dealer, don't say what happened, tell him/her you think the car may be pulling to one side and you would like them to take it for a test drive. they will either come back with it needs a WARRANTY alignment or I don't see anything wrong, your car is in good shape.
Ironman Of course because he has A suit made of Iron and not even Spidy an penetrate it, and Ironman has a heart made from Scienc. Can spidy do tht?
lron Man will win i like spider man but iron man wins!
Hi, Get on a straight road/street and when SAFE let go of the steering wheel and if the car moves/pulls to one side YOU blew it. YOU need an alignment OTHERWISE you will wear out your tires from the inside. BEEN there DONE that. GET if fixed. AND SLOW down over those bumps.
Don't sweat the small stuff ! Seriously, I'm sure everything will be fine with your alignment and your car will continue to Track Truly down the road. Automobile suspension systems are designed and engineered to be pretty rugged. They can take a hit that might shock the driver of the car, and normally sustain no damage. Especially a new car like yours. Most damage like you are concerned about is actually caused when normal maintenance has not been done on an older vehicle, and the shock absorbers, or struts are bad and have not been changed. A shock or strut that has lost it's charge can not absorb and resist, and then ultimately dampen out a big hit. In most cases they are able to take the hit and rapid vertical movement, absorb it and then fully dampen it out before any damage will occur to your suspension. You are much more likely to experience damage from hitting a large pothole than you are with a speed bump. Don't worry and be paranoid about what happened !!! Get out on the road and enjoy that new car, you will be fine.
