Question:

I had a dream about saving my boyfriend's life. What doe it mean?!?

We were walking around readyto do some art and talking about my dream about an area we was just pAssing.. As we was walking past the construction site I was referring too, a cement spilled occured spilling over the floor while a cemen truck that lost control knocked him into a puddle of cemet. I jumped in and swam and pulled him out before the truck completely toppled over him. I just kept pushing our bodies over the grass to safety. I cleaned his face off and screamed to the emt's who was helping a less needed patient. But he was breathing thank goodness. I so worried about the cemet drying on our skin. Because that would hurt odee. I just kept thinking water lots of water. A fire hoes or something to blast this **** ASAP off our skin.Normally in dreams about saving things I freeZe up. But as I awoke I knew I loved him no matter how mad I was at him. I was relieved I saved his life. And proud. Now I'm here. Help? Define? Explain?!

Answer:

I wouldn't try to teach her to bark. You could try to teach her to come and get you if there's someone at the door. That way you're teaching her that it's ok to not bark and there are other ways to communicate. My dog only barks at the dog park but communicates with me just fine by body language and signals. If you really want to though, if she knows the speak command you can give her the command speak whenever the doorbell rings or if there's someone at the door tell her to speak before you let them inside.
You are probably better off calling in a professional as you will end up getting a better set-up. What you are looking for is photo-electric smoke detectors as opposed to Ionization. They are a little slower at detection in that they need actual visible smoke whereas the ionization pick up products of combustion (AKA ant flatulence) There are several self diagnosing versions of photo-electrics out there. Typically I get the 12 Volt versions and connect them to a security alarm system. There are however other configurations and stand-alone units. As far as the simplex horns you have, I am assuming you already have a fire alarm panel installed. If that is the case it is a matter of getting a smoke detector that has the right voltage for the fire alarm panel which is already installed. Once again, this is something that should be handled by a professional as you are dealing with life safety. I have a section called Theft by fire on my website at that deals specifically with fire detection and the types of devices, as well as the stages of a fire.
