Question:

What would be a good exhaust system to buy?

I have a 2001 honda accord 2 door with a 2.3 L engine. I absolutely hate those fart can exhausts that are obnoxiously loud, but i do want a good sounding exhaust system

Answer:

Usually it'll say on the tranny dipstick.
See what the owner's manual says
are you looking for quiet or badass? if u just want after market go for magnaflow.
Look into flowmaster, corsa, borla, etc. All good high end performance exhaust companies who make nice and aggressive sounding exhaust that won' sound so much like a weed whacker on roids. Also take a look on youtube and see what other people with the same vehicle have done with theirs. You might get lucky and find a good sound on there.
For a Honda accord i would NOT look into flowmaster, corsa, borla, etc. Those are meant for american cars with larger engines and sound like crap on accords. In my opinion, your best bet would be to get the Apex-i World Sport 2 cat-back setup. It's a very nice sounding system that doesn't have that ricey rasp and is not too loud. Another choice would be the DC Sport twin-loop setup. It's a fairly rare setup up and sounds very nice.
