I have a aq130 boat that over heats?

Answer:

The impeller in the fresh water pump should be replaces every 2-3 years. So, if you haven't done that do that first. Then the heat exchanger core gets clogged from time to time. I would consider back flushing, or even removing and cleaning. Some radiator shops can clean them better than you can. You'll need to order a new tank gasket. It's possible but much more rare that the exhaust elbow gets clogged by scale and needs to be cleaned or replaced. If you run the engine on a flush attachment, and it doesn't overheat it's most likely the water pump impeller. It's on the front of the engine. Not not the drive. It will help flush the heat exchanger as well. You should also change out your anti-freeze every couple years. These are very good engines. I've owned them and worked in a shop that repaired them. Compared to OMC and Mercruser engines they didn't need repairs as often. I attribute that to the Fresh Water Coolant (anti-freeze). I hope this answer is helpful.
