Question:

I have a little memory card reader - it comes in handy when traveling?

I can upload my pics. and send them by E - mail. Recently - after coming home I tried to use it at home and my Norton indicated - Trojan Virus and another thing called Packaged .Obviously it got infected at an Internet Cafe. My question is - will the memory card also be infected ? If so can this be repaired ?

Answer:

A USB reminiscence Card Reader is for swifter transfers out of your reminiscence card on your workstation. in case you plugged enable's say your digicam quickly into the workstation it would take plenty longer to be waiting to get admission to and regulate the photos which you have taken. Many reminiscence card readers are regular meaning that no count what form of reminiscence card you have you would be waiting to apply the reader. it is very useful once you have quite a few diverse cameras or media instruments, so as that one device would be waiting to settle for any form of media card you have.
It can be infected if the file was saved onto it, or if the virus is intelligent enough to save a part of itself on there, but in most cases memory cards are not affected unless you actually save an infected file onto it, which it sounds like you did. Basically your memory card is a small hard drive, so you can plug it into a port on your computer (if you have an appropriate card reader port on it) and have Norton scan it and clean off anything it finds.
