My yard is sandy, and even struggles growing grass. However I am tired of the pure ugliness, I want to grow a garden, However with the poor growing conditions I need the name of flowers and plants that would grow easy, in sandy dirt, and less sunshine. Any names of plants and flowers.
I'm pretty sure that cati/cactus will grow in sandy areas and most of them bloom during the year. You can also try putting in a raised platform and putting dirt in it to grow a bigger assortment of flowers plants. If you live in a generally sandy area, you should be able to go to your local home garden center and ask them for recommendations. They always seem to know whats best for your area! Good Luck! P.S. Rock gardens are always an option as well. And they require very little maintenance.
