Acer 17 LCD computer Monitor, Part# AL1706
Have you tried another kettle lead (I presume it uses a kettle lead)? Does it completely turn off eg. no signs of power until you turn it on again?
if the computer turns off then the processor might be overheating
maybe one of the two fans is not working and the computer has extra heat
are you seeing a picture before it goes off? make sure the DVI or VGA cable is securely fitted into the monitor and the computer go to the menu and check that its power saving timer isn't set too low hope this helps
Try it on another computer to make sure the problem is the monitor and not the graphics card. My exp has been its usually the video card not the monitor. Eliminate the obvious and whats left is the problem.
