Depends on where you go and what model alarm you get. The alarm itself can cost anywhere from $100-$500+ depending on what functions you want. I'm not sure what the installation costs are since I've always installed my own but it's probably not cheap. Stay away from big retail chain stores like Best Buy for example that sell alarms and offer an installation. Their installation is a joke, it's quickly and lazily done. Any average joe who would try to steal your car can tear out those installs within 5-10 seconds. If you know anyone who did that, take a look under their dash just above the pedals. I can almost guarantee you'll see every single critical part of the alarm just sitting there ready to be accessed. Get it installed at a professional audio store that isn't afraid to take apart whatever they need to to get the alarm properly hidden and installed.
