Alter them. Needle and thread, sewing machine, or go to a seamstress. Or you could possibly even use a hair scrunchie to tie the excess fabric if there's enough of it. I wouldn't really recommend using heavy duty safety pins, since those could hurt if they open without you knowing, but if you're at a loss then it's an option.
