Question:

I work outI eat wellI'm still at the same weight?

I'm 21, 5'5, and have been stuck at around 160 for monthsMy 160 is also different from most peoples, as it seems to be alot of muscle (in my legs).I go to the gym 5-6 times a week for two hours, running about 3 miles on the treadmill, and various other cardio and weights, or swimming lapsI come home drenched in sweat, and I spend 15 minutes in the sauna post-workout.I eat a vegetarian/vegan diet, organic when possible, and whole grainsI've cut beer and diet soda out of my diet.I drink the daily recommended amount of water. You'd think by now the weight would be falling off of meIt's notI've been fluctuating around 160 for months, and it's water weight pounds lost/gainedWtf is wrong? Also, please do not leave comments regarding my vegetarian/veganismI'm sticking to my choice, and I'll disregard your whole spiel.

Answer:

I would think that if you did use something that had aluminum over a long period of time it would contribute or link someone to Alzheimer'sBut you would have to use it for a long period of time, along the lines of 30+ yearsI don't have the one right answer but I would say yes it would over long exposure.
Deodorants now are advertising right on the label when they don't contain aluminumI look for those Since there does seem to be a connection between aluminum and Alzheimer's, I think it best to stay away from aluminum in deodorants
Well I have no idea if its bad or notPersonally, I use the ones with aluminum cause the others just don't work for mePerhaps for you they might thoughSome brands: Tom's of Maine, Jason, and CrystalI think Stetson and Old Spice don't either if you want to smell like a guyGo to the organic section of your grocery store or any specialty organic store and you'll find the first threeCheck department stores tooI don't know why more men's deodorants don't have aluminum- maybe flower smells are made with it? Who knows? Good luck!
No it isn't bad for youNow they've linked powdered coffee creamer to AlzheimersBut what can you believe anyway?
Looks like you are doing fine with respect to almost every thingA few things to consider: 1Are eating too much? You might be eating the right stuff but are you eating too much of it? You are 5'5You should not be eating more than 1800-2000 calories2Keep a diary of what you eat (for about 2 weeks atleast)See if you find yourself snacking during the day (It can add obscene amount of calories to your diet)Also if you go off-diet for more than 1 days a week, its not a good thing3Most importantly :) Hang in thereYou can hit a plateau where you will not lose weight for a while but its important to stick with the healthy things you have learntFitness and health should not be a goal, it should be way of lifeGood luck!!
