To hydrant fires or some crap like that.
Nylabones are quite hardy. I usually have to replace them about once a year. Kongs are great, too, as you've probably noticed. Rope toys are good, but they can get torn apart and you'd want to pick up the bits and pieces before your dog eats them.
I have hard wired smoke detectors and one morning it went off like 2 in the A.M. It did it a couple more times that morning. Come to find out a lady bug was walking around inside it setting it off. Never saw nothing like it beforeor since. Open it maybe a spider is living in it. Smoke detectors, even hard wired, have a lifespan of about 10 years and sometimes need replacing. You could try just replacing the one, or all. I replaced 5 a few years back. It only cost about $80 then for decent detectors.
close the trip switch , take it apart clean. Spiders, etc. get in there trigger the beep.
