If you stand outside in a wide open field with nothing else around then there's a good likelihood you may get struck if the lighting is very severe. If you stand near a tall object the Lightning may hit the tall object and possibly bounce off the object and strike you as well. If you stand a decent distance away from this tall object such as a tree or lightning rod the lightning will just strike that object and not affect you.

The alarm battery is located in the alarm siren, most of the time when the car is locked and the alarm goes off the culprit is the alarm siren triggering itself and the alarm, thus draining the car battery. Also those cars have problems with the seat control modules staying on and draining the battery. Anyway if your battery is being drained as a result of the alarm going off by itself it should be fixed by replacing the Alarm Siren.
