i have an external usb flash reader (Media Gear). When i plug it into the computer its detected. but when i put in a 4Gb memory card into the Disk E:drive the hour glass comes up and after 5 minutes or so it doesnt read it. it says something about the semaphore timing out. Whats the problem?semaphore
What sort of memory card? It might be an SDHC, and the reader not capable of reading SDHC cards? Is it just this memory card, or all of them? Make sure the driver for the card is correct. Sometimes windows picks an old one, when the manufacturers one is required. See if you need a driver upgrade.
