Im thinking about buying the AEM V2 Cold Air Intake for a 2009 Honda Civic Si. It gets a pretty big amount of rain here but it never really floods. Should I go with the CAI or a Short Ram intake?
Start with a thick-ish steak at room temperature. Heat a heavy pan till its very hot. Also turn on your oven fairly high. Sear the steak a minute per side, or until very dark and crispy, then put the whole thing in the hot oven. 4 minutes for medium. +/- 2 minutes for rare or well done.
Don't fry it in a pan with oil. If indoors, read up on how to use your oven's broiler. Or get an indoor grill. Better yet grill the steak outdoors over a wood or charcoal fire (Weber grill). Select a good cut of meat with thin white lines running through out (marbeling). NY Strip - firm, good beef flavor Ribeye - medium, usually very well marbeled T-bone - one side firm, one side medium, bigger cut of beef Sirloin - look for good marbeling, good tasting cut for less money Filet - soft, lacks flavor because of very little marbeling, usually wrapped with bacon to add flavor and aid in cooking Let steak sit out for 15-20 minutes to come to room temperature. Salt and pepper both sides. Substitute garlic salt for salt. Cook steak on hot fire. Turn steak a 1/4 turn for restaurant style grill marks. Or let steak cook on one side. Flip steak using tongs (not fork). You can tell the doneness of a steak by pushing on it with a finger. The firmer the steak is the more done it is. After you remove the steak from fire, let it rest. The steak will re-absorb the juices. After resting, cut into steak and enjoy. No sauces should be needed. No marinating unless you don't like the taste of beef. Add side items such as corn on the cob, asparagus, broccoli, corn, salad, Caesar salad, baked potato, hash browns, french fries, steak fries, mashed potatoes, cheesy scalloped potatoes, etc. Don't be afraid to pair your steak with beer, wine, water. If you consume all of the side items, you didn't make enough steak.
First of all if your going to get anything, get the cold air intake they both dont give enough gains to justify the price, but a short ram air will actually make you car run worse. Hydrolock? well its alot harder to suck water up an intake than you would think, you would have to go through a puddle that allows it to get completely underwater. I ran one on my eclipse for 7 years and never had any issues or ever worried about it but if you have lots of flooded roads id pass on it or just dont drive through lakes and you will be fine.
