I wanted to try using my Xbox HDD as a portable hard drive for my PC. I saw an Xbox 360 Data Transfer Cable online. They're able to connect to an Xbox HDD in order to transfer information from one HDD to another. I noticed that the end of the Data Transfer Cable was a USB output. Is it possible to connect an Xbox HDD to a computer USB port via the Data Transfer Cable?Here's a picture of the Data Transfer Cable, in case you need it.

I tried to do the same thing but you have to format the hdd and when you do that it never works for the xbox again.or it corrupts the hdd and only lets you use like like only some much memory I have a 250 gb after i tried to format it and use it again I only had 16.0 gb.also after it corrupts you have to use the transfer cable cause the place where it would normally go dose not detect it as a hard drive.
