Question:

Is extreme luxury morally wrong?

I'm rather poor for now, and I'm fine with that, but I was wondering if I had money, if it would be wrong in your opinion to use itI wouldn't feel the need to eat fancy foods, own a boat, own a mansion or more than one house, or most of the things the extremely wealthy spend there money onHonestly if I made anything over $60,000 a year, I'd probably give most of it to charityBut I would pour more money in to my hobbiesI fantasize of some day crocheting from Qiviut and Vicuna yarns, or making jewelry out of precious metals instead of ugly steel and aluminumBut honestly, I'd feel a bit guilty if I did that stuff in real life, and meanwhile there are starving children in africa who I could have given my money to, or while there are starving people living on the streets of the city I live inGranted the money from Vicuna fibers would go to villagers in mountain regions, so maybe I wouldn't have to feel guilty about that. What do you think, is it wrong to buy luxury goods?
