I am short a 1 coupling and a 1 threaded adapter to finish running conduit to my tool shed. I have white pipe fittings and am thinking of using them. The coupling would go underground and wouldn't show but the adapter would be visible. I live in a small town where the hardware store has limited hours and getting gray conduit fittings will delay the job.
That depends on the material of the mirror. Most reflective surfaces will reflect a large portion of the IR spectrum, but gold is the most effective IR reflector. With a gold surface, almost all the heat energy is reflected. However, most metallic surfaces will reflect enough heat to be used in solar boilers, in which sunlight is reflected by many mirrors on a tank of water.
