Question:

Is it safe to wear contact lenses during a Chemistry Lab?

Hi, 10th grade starts tomorrow, and our Chem teacher sent class expectations, in which he said that if you wear contacts, he would advise to wear glasses on lab days. I'm very self conscious and hate wearing glasses in front of my classmates, so I really would like to wear contacts. I'm really not the type that gets too involved in Chemistry Labs and of course I'll wear safety goggles. An optometrists' answer would be great, but if you have experience - is it safe to wear contacts in Chemistry Experiments? Thanks

Answer:

Get rubbing alcohol and Epsom salt, stick it in a baggie or something that you don't really need and fill it so the the alcohol completely covers it then add about 3 -4 table spoons of salt. Leave it sitting for at least 48 hours, then wash it out with water. Should look like new
To be honest, I do agree with Brooke - it certainly seems that way. While I do think Michael could appreciate a beautiful woman, I don't think sex was ever a priority for him. There's nothing wrong with that, many people are asexual.
Try asking whoever is organizing the trip. The purpose though is a hockey stick blade, unless all-plastic like a Mylec, particularly if there's been tape and/or wax on it, will rub off against the wooden floor, which can be difficult to get off the surface. Another reason could be safety, as you probably won't be wearing full pads, logic says participants will shoot or pass the ball or puck at slower speeds .. and therefore you have a lower risk of causing injury.
